1996-2000
Start of the company's work. Cooperation with major players in Kyiv was established. Even then, VOLZ had a powerful number resource for the implementation of projects to connect businesses to PRI standard telephony, set up access to the Internet using ADSL technology, the only one at that time, and use the Dial-up service.
2000-2003
VOLZ was starting to build a fiber optic network in Kyiv — the foundation of the future largest network in Kyiv and our successful development. We laid 300 km of trunk fiber-optic cables and reserved the left bank of Kyiv with independent optics and two different bridges.
2004
Optical channels were laid and telecommunications nodes were created at almost all Ukrtelecom PBXs. Also that year VOLZ began to provide transport data transmission channels to most providers and operators of Kyiv.
2005-2007
Projects for the construction of corporate data transfer for Crédit Agricole, Raiffeisen Bank and PrivatBank were implemented. We signed an agreement on cooperation with the drogerie chain "Cosmo" on the organization of a corporate network for more than 35 retail stores. We became the first company in Ukraine to start construction and use of PON technology in Kyiv.
2008-2009
We started cooperation with Fozzy Group, one of the largest trade and industrial companies of Ukraine and postal operator "Nova Poshta" for the organization and construction of corporate networks. In 2008 they also signed their first international contract — with the French company Equant Télécom (now Orange).
2010-2011
We continued to conquer the international market, cooperating with several European operators. In particular, they started cooperation with Slovak Telekom, a Slovak telecom operator, and GTS, a Romanian operator.
2012-2014
We were teaming up with "Relk" and "KyivWeb", integrating the services and experience of the companies into the structure of VOLZ. It gave us the opportunity to provide better services to our clients, to expand and establish ourselves as a leader in the corporate segment of the telecommunications market.
2015
We signed an agreement with the international operator British Telecom. VOLZ built its own external Internet channels, placed telecommunication stands at international sites AMS-IX-Amsterdam; DE-CIX-Frankfurt; THINX-IX, which organized the inclusion of Tier-1 international operators, including Verizon.
2016
We launched a cloud service in Warsaw based on the Atman data center and also started implementing cloud services in Kyiv. Business use of cloud services allows to protect certain business processes and scale faster.
2017-2019
We started a large-scale transfer of the core of our own L2 Ethernet network to channels at a speed of 40/80 Gbit/s and the construction of a ring infrastructure according to the topology in accordance with the ITU-T G.8032 standard. We also built the Global Cloud Connect data transmission channel, which allows secure transport of digital content in any volume between the clouds of Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Google and others.
2020-2022
New L3 core was built with connection speeds between routers and Gbps access level up to 200. Pavutyna Company, specializing in the provision of Internet, TV and online cinema services for home users, was added to the VOLZ group of companies. We rebuilt the cores of the VOLZ network and protection against DDoS attacks based on Arbor equipment.
